Choices by J.L. McFadden

Book Cover (4)

Today I would like to introduce the Author J.L McFadden to my blog.

JL – Thank you for having me.

Glad to have you on today. So tell us is Choices your first book?

JL – It is actually the third in the trilogy, but written to be a standalone as well; all of my books are written in a manner that the reader won’t feel like they are lost if they start with one and not the other.

What types of books would you say these are?

JL – Paranormal romance for this trilogy.

I had seen you speaking about some of your upcoming books and it seems you write a lot about strong females, why is this?

JL – That is pretty simple, I am attracted to strong women, so of course I would write about strong women.  My book also has strong male characters, but there is just something about a woman that not only holds her own, but kicks @ that drives me wild.

What is on your play list for when you are writing?

Mainly, Hale storm, but I also listen to Bleeding in Stereo, The Slot, Alice N Chains.

Alice In Chains – Your Decision

Alice in Chains – Nutshell

Alice In Chains – Would?

Alice In Chains – We Die Young

Halestorm – I Miss The Misery

Halestorm – “I Get Off”

Halestorm – Familiar Taste of Poison

Eminem – Survival

Bleeding in Stereo – Black or White

Bleeding in Stereo – The Killer

The Slot “Dead Stars” (Official Video-Russian)

The Slot – Angel or Demon

Teona Dolnikova-Shocked

The Pretty Reckless – Going To Hell

Ani.Lorak – Nebesa

Evanescence – Sweet Sacrifice

D.H.T. – Listen To Your Heart

One More Night Maroon 5 Alex Goot cover

Redlight King – Bullet In My Hand

Isn’t Bleeding in Stereo’s song Killer on your promo for Choices?

JL – Yes, and they did the music for Adela as well.  Keith is a good friend of mine and was my guitar teacher in my youth. Actually, the book was dedicated to him, because out of everyone I grew up with it feels like we both get what each other is going through in our different arts.  Anyone that hasn’t heard of this band needs to check them out. Their song Black or White was used by Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater as their theme song on WWE.

Does your playlist change for each book?

JL – A lot of the Hale Storm and Bleeding in Stereo stay, but yeah the rest changes.

How long have you been writing?

JL – If we are counting books – only since 2013 – but I have been writing for blogs and historical sites for a while.

What is the biggest challenge you are facing at the moment?

JL – Getting ready to be a father for the first time. I don’t want to screw this up.

I am sure you will do fine. So what do you do on your free time?

JL – I honestly don’t have any free time. Between the family, the writing, my studies it is a never ending thing, but going to the movies is one of my favorite escapes from everything; for two hours you are able to forget everything outside of the theater…

Do you prefer movies over books?

JL -The book is always better, but the movie can shield you from the outside world for a little bit.

What is your favorite time of year?

JL- Autumn – because of all the different shades of orange and yellow all over the landscape – orange is my favorite color – so the autumn leaves are always a happy moment for me.

What is your favorite food?

JL – That is a tough one, because I love to cook as well. I love a good steak and all the trimmings or I even love making sushi and other Japanese cuisine.

What about your favorite adult drink?

JL – I don’t drink often, but Scotch whisky is my usual poison, but it has to be from Scotland.

I would like to thank J.L McFadden for stopping by my blog today and you all can find his information down below.
