Grand Finale


You seized the fireworks from my sky, baby
Stole the blues and the reds and the yellows and the greens
Turned off my nightlight when you
Coveted my stars
Crushed them to dust
And I’m left here choking on the smoke
You vanished baby, like a grand finale
Fading into black
Left the imprint of a weeping willow tree
In my sky
